‘Rhizome is a modified subterranean stem of a plant that sends out roots and shoots from its nodes. Rhizomes are also called breeding rootstalks and rootstocks. Rhizomes develop from axillary buds and grow horizontally. The rhizome also retains the ability to allow the shoots to grow upwards’

This is a study of these tendrils as  representing the stories that weave our  life stories into the earth in a hidden, dark reflection  of our visible selves, shaping the way we appear to the world.
